History
Sabin
was founded in 1993 as a Private Limited Liability Company (S.r.l.) by
a small group of five persons with more than fifty years experience
between them in medical device sales in international companies. Having
successfully overcome the difficulties of starting up in a very full
market place, and establishing a name for reliability, technical
competence and service, the need to expand called for partnerships with
producers of products which were of established quality from
manufacturers who shared these values, and to ensure competent physical
presence alongside the customer wherever these products were presented.
The philosophy thus developed to one of specialization in only those
areas where the company had expertise, only acquiring products of the
highest quality, and extending geographical coverage only where
competent local expertise could be assured. Hence in late 1998 the
decision was taken to go national utilizing local personnel,
distributorships and agents with the capacity to maintain the required
high standards and give constant attention to the end user.

Thus
the all important national sales network was created through
collaboration with the very best established and respected
distributors/agents in each area of the country, with direct
importation and national representation of fine brands consolidating
the product range into the specialized sectors of secure infusion
systems and chemoprotection, hazardous medical waste handling,
specialist gynecological instruments, and surgical instruments.
Today the company has the good fortune to represent and partner with the
some of the most reputable international manufacturers in these sectors.
The company boasts a comprehensive distribution network which allows it
to deliver a product into the hands of a customer, from Brescia
directly or through the local distributor, within twenty-four hours of
receipt of order anywhere on the peninsula,
and within 72 hours to the islands, as a matter of routine.
